Looks like Panasonic has been busy. All recent news on m43 have been circulating around Olympus OM-D E-M5
. But it appears that Panasonic hasn’t been standing still either.
Here’s the (super blurry) picture of the new GF5 (on the right side):
As you can see, it will retain the compactness of the GF3. Previous rumour on the sensor wasn’t quite right though – instead of using G3
′s sensor as is, this model will be featuring a 12MP (as opposed to 16MP) sensor but with similar signal-to-ratio performances. Perhaps we could hope for even better high-ISO performance out of this lower MP sensor, given that it will have lower density pixels.
As for the G5, it will use the G3
sensor as is, hence it will be rated at 16MP.
