Looks like Panasonic has been busy. All recent news on m43 have been circulating around Olympus OM-D
E-M5. But it appears that Panasonic hasn’t been standing still either.
Here’s the (super blurry) picture of the new GF5
(on the right side):
As you can see, it will retain the compactness of the GF3
. Previous rumour on the sensor wasn’t quite right though – instead of using G3
′s sensor as is, this model will be featuring a 12MP (as opposed to 16MP) sensor but with similar signal-to-ratio performances. Perhaps we could hope for even better high-ISO performance out of this lower MP sensor, given that it will have lower density pixels.
As for the G5
, it will use the G3 sensor as is, hence it will be rated at 16MP.
