More rumors on Fujifilm X20

More rumors have been revealed via a Vietnamese site, Mayanhjp. Apparently, it will feature a new EXR CMOS 14MP sensor, still at 2/3-inch. The lens will range from 24mm to 120mm, f1.8-2.8. Burst speed will be 10fps. And the LCD will be 460k pixels.

How do I feel about these specs? I feel they could have gone with a 1-inch version of their EXR sensor. The X10 / X20 are relatively large for compacts, so physically, it should not be a big challenge to accommodate 1-inch sensor in the X20. The X10 offerd 28-112mm f2.0-2.8 lens. So X20 lens is a minor improvement over the X10′s. 24mm wide end will be useful for landscape photographers, while slightly brighter aperture at the wide-end (and presumably better performing sensor) will help out the performance under low-light scenarios. But once again, I can’t help but to feel that Fuji could have tried a bit harder and accommodate f1.4 lens as Panasonic has done with the LX7. Since f1.4 starts at 24mm, I suspect once you hit 28mm and beyond, the aperture difference will be very minor when compared against X10′s.
