According to Sonyalpharumors, the next model out of Sony will be called NEX-7m. If this turns out to be true, it also tells us that this will be a minor upgrade. They do mention that the improvements will include increased max shutter speed, enhanced NR, and ISO ranges. Hopefully, when they say enhanced ISO ranges, they are improving the performance of high ISO images, not just bumping up the max ISO. The NEX-7 was a very good camera but one of its weakness was the high ISO performance (those high mega-pixels must have something to do with this, although I do admit Nikon D800 performs just fine even with high pixel density). So if the NEX-7m indeed is a faster and better high ISO performing version of NEX-7, then I would say its a nice upgrade.
