A Dutch site, Pixelmania, has published a new review on the Olympus 45mm
f1.8 lens. This lens is the cheapest way to get a great looking bokeh within M43 eco-system. Other than Olympus 75mm
f1.8 lens, the Olympus 45mm f1.8 produces better bokeh than any other lens, but at a bargain basement price (well, considering its image quality). This is a must have lens for anyone investing into M43. It is my default lens for any portrait shots. It is also my default low light lens when I need some zoom.
Their conclusion: Olympus 45mm F/1, 8 lens an excellent telephoto lens delivered, that especially in the area of sharpness and contrast excellent performance. Vignetting and distortion are negligible and the bokeh is beautiful. At all that beauty is a street price of around € 250, – (retail). For that money you get an excellent performing 90 mm telephoto lens. Given the fine quality we know the Olympus 45mm F/1, 8 telephoto lens than a Pixelmania Award far. Recommended!
